FAQs

Orders

To place an order, you’ll need an up to date optometrist’s prescription that states your SPH and ADD values and Pupillary Distance (PD) measurement. Your prescription may also include CYL and AXIS values. Please enter this prescription at checkout if you’ve already got it on hand, or provide us with your optometrist’s details and we’ll retrieve your prescription for you.

No problem. Either visit your local optometrist to have this measured, or measure it yourself using our online measuring tool in our Pupillary Distance (PD) measurement page.

We don’t have a showroom just yet, but it is coming soon. To be the first to know about our showroom launch and product releases, please subscribe to our newsletter by entering in your email in the Keep in Touch section at the bottom of this page.

Easy: to check your order, just sign in to your account using the email and password you provided at checkout and head to ‘Orders’ tab, this will allow you to check the status of your order.

Still have questions? Want a more detailed status update? Get in touch at hello@www.yorkandonos.com.au and we’ll get you sorted.

Yes, you can order multiple pairs of prescription glasses, but you’ll need to place separate orders for each prescription. Let us know at checkout if you would like two or more orders to be shipped together.

We process all orders as quickly as possible, so can only change or cancel them within an hour of checkout. If you change your mind or wish to cancel during this time, please send your order number and request to hello@www.yorkandonos.com.au and we’ll do the rest.

Prescriptions and Lenses

You’ll be prompted to enter your prescription details at checkout using our simple form. If you have questions or are unsure of how to enter your prescription details, please email us at hello@www.yorkandonos.com.au or upload a copy of your prescription at checkout and we’ll enter the info for you.

Alternatively, if you haven’t got a copy of your prescription but would like us to request this from your optometrist, please enter their contact details at checkout and we’ll get in touch with them.

PD is the distance in millimetres between your pupils. This measurement allows us to pinpoint exactly where in your lens you’ll be looking out of, and to craft your glasses accordingly. If your PD is not included in your prescription, you can either visit your local optometrist to have this measured for free or measure it yourself with our online measuring tool.

Optometrist’s prescriptions are valid for two (2) years. Unfortunately, we are not able to process prescription glasses orders that are not accompanied by a valid prescription.

If you don’t have a prescription or have questions about your current prescription, please email us at hello@www.yorkandonos.com.au.

At the moment we don’t offer progressive or bifocal lenses, but watch this space! To receive updates on progressive or bifocal lenses and our other offerings, please subscribe to our newsletter by entering in your email in the Keep in Touch section at the bottom of this page.

Unfortunately, no. Prescription glasses and contact lenses require two different prescriptions as they interact with your eyes in different ways: the former sits away from them while the latter sits on them. You’ll need a valid glasses prescription to place an order with us.

We don’t currently offer prism correction lenses but will do so in the near future. Subscribe to our newsletter [link to subscription form] and be the first to know once we’ve added prism correction lenses to our product family.

All electronics and LED lighting emit blue light, which is known to cause both long- and short-term damage to eyes.

If you work in an environment with LED lighting or regularly use a computer, smartphone, mobile device, or television, your eyes are exposed to blue light that may cause eye strain and even retinal damage. To combat this, we recommend adding a protective Blue Light Filter to your prescription glasses for an additional $50.

For more information, please visit our Blue Light Filter page.

In addition to Blue Light Filter, our selection of optional special coatings includes UV protection and anti-scratch finishes, all for a small additional charge. Anti-glare coating is also available free of charge on all prescription lenses.

We also offer lens thinning to minimise the weight of your glasses in the case of a strong prescription. If your prescription has an SPH and/or CYL value greater than +/-3.00, lens thinning is mandatory; full options and details are provided at checkout as applicable.
